Plaza Mayor

It is undoubtedly the most beautiful square of Madrid, due to its harmony and the proportion of its houses, that conform their structure. In 1617 Felipe III entrust the conclusion of works to Juan Gómez De Mora, who would finish them in 1619. Almost thirty years before the firts building of the square, the House of the Bakery was built in its North part by Diego Sillero.
